Palermo Cooking Class with Dinner
- Duration: 3.5 hours
- Time: 05:00 p.m. – 08:30 p.m.
- Location: Palermo
A True Sicilian Evening Experience
Spend your evening in Palermo learning to cook authentic Sicilian dishes in a charming 18th-century Palazzo. This Palermo cooking class with dinner is perfect for those with a tight schedule who can’t attend our morning market tour.
Unlike our morning experience, this class begins directly at the cooking studio as the local markets are closed in the afternoon. You’ll be welcomed with a glass of Sicilian wine and guided through the evening’s menu by our expert chef, Chef Patrizia.
We use only fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally. Menus vary daily based on market availability and reflect Sicily’s most iconic traditional recipes, focusing on handmade pasta, meat or fish, vegetables, and delicious sweets.
What You’ll Cook and Taste
In the kitchen, you’ll prepare a full dinner in true Sicilian style. The menu typically includes:
- Primo: Handmade pasta
- Secondo: Fish or meat dish
- Contorno: Eggplant caponata or seasonal vegetables
- Dolce: A homemade dessert
During the class, you’ll also taste local wines and cheeses, olives, and our own extra virgin olive oil from Nucidda, our countryside estate where we also host cooking classes and tastings.
The hands-on cooking lasts about 2 hours. After that, everyone sits together to enjoy the meal you’ve lovingly prepared, always ending the evening with a glass of homemade limoncello!
Take Home More Than Just Memories
At the end of the class, each guest receives a certificate of completion signed by the chef. Want to recreate the dishes at home? Our cookbook “Seriously Sicilian – Authentic Recipes for Hungry Families” is available for purchase — no need to take notes, just relax and enjoy the wine!
A class spent cooking with Chef Patrizia is not simply a cooking lesson in a beautiful location. It’s also a fascinating journey through Sicilian culture and its food.
This is late afternoon cooking class for guests who have a strict schedule and cannot attend the morning class.
We do not start off with a market tour in the afternoon because markets are generally closed.
We only use fresh and seasonal ingredients to ensure authenticity and because of this the menus prepared will be in accordance with seasonal and market availability. All of our dishes are based on the more historically important Sicilian recipes, focusing on pasta, fresh fish/meat, vegetable dishes and delectable sweets.
Here is how your day will unfold.
Arriving at our cooking studio, housed inside a very historic Palazzo dating back to the 18th century, you are welcomed to the kitchen with a refreshing glass of Sicilian wine while learning about and discussing the delicious menu that lay ahead of you.
A typical lunch menu prepared in a truly authentic Sicilian style will consist of:
- A primo (pasta)
- A secondo (fish or meat)
- A side dish such as ‘’eggplant caponata’’ or other seasonal vegetables
- Dolce (dessert)
During the preparation you will taste local wines and cheeses, olives and the extra virgin olive oil made in Nucidda, our country house location. At Nucidda we also provide cooking classes, wine tastings, parties and other foodie experiences you can inquire about.
After about 2 hours of hands on cooking, we will now all sit together and enjoy the meal we have prepared together, always with a glass of homemade limoncello at the end!
At the end of our class all our guests receive a certiicate of accomplishment signed by the Chef. All the recipes can be found in our cookbook ‘’Seriously Sicilian – Authentic Recipes for Hungry Families’’, so you do not need to take notes! Just chill out and drink vino!
